All young people have dreams. Our job is to capture them and help them achieve them. Sometimes the step to make them happen is huge. That’s why we are working with Bajabulile Primary school to build them a science lab and help teachers create a brilliant programme of study.

Why shouldn’t they achieve this dream?

Well they can with your help. Please read the previous blog about what we are doing to see how you can help and pledge your support. Thank you. For those of you that have, I’ll try and keep you in touch with the impact you are having.

Tshepiso

My name is Tshpisa Pitsa. I am 12 years old I live in Mamelodi. I am the first born and I have a little brother. My mother’s name is Kgomotso; my father died last year.

When I finish matric I want to do my 7-year degree and become a cardiologist- a heart doctor. The reason is that I want to help South Africa because over 10 000 people are caught there by heart attacks.

I ma looking forward to being able to have more Science in our new lab once its finished. Then if death does not come I will fight and study hard to get a bursary to reach my dream.

Ntebogeng

My name is Ntebogeng Innocentia Mdambo. I am a grade 7 learner from Bajabulile Primary School. I am 12 years old. My favourite subjects are Mathematics, Science and Technology. I love these subjects because they all work with numbers and in love numbers.

After matriculating I would love to be a paediatrician. This is the medical practice which specialises with infants and their diseases. It is a profession that deals with children, helps them through adolescence till they can take care of themselves as adults.

I want to take this course because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. Me being able to treat their diseases would be a privilege. After training there are opportunities to work in other places such as hospitals in other countries and nations.

To help me achieve my dream is for me to focus on my school work, getting support from my family and getting a bursary to further my education and help the community at large. What will stop me? Well not finding the sponsorship. But the natural one is death; something we can’t all run away from.
